| TOTAL CHAOS The album starts off with a speech from the fucken hypochrite former president "W" very powerful rhetoric from what may have been the worst presidency of all time , most of the songs have a very heavy influence from GBH , very well done , vocals are clear and concise , extreemely powerful sound from this one , guitars are super heavy and bass is low and crunchy like you would expect from the EXPLOITED and ANGELIC UPSTARTS, "fuck the CHP one of my favorites has that sound of defiance and perdition that I love and makes my dick hard for more of these guys , "DONT CARE ANY MORE " unforgiving and tempestuous flying by you like a fucking freight train pit music for sure , this is a must have for any hardcore afficianado of hard core . find them at www.myspace.com/punkcore |
| AGNOSTIC FRONT - WARRIORS All I can say is they still have it in their back pocket , they are everything that epitomises hardcore total and unleashed brutality , these guys have not lost a fucking thing as far as I can see, full throttle smash your face punk rock from the KINGS of hardcore , from begining to end , this album is by far my choice for hardcore album of the year it was hard to name just a few of the best tracks but these seem to stick in my teeth like the rotting meat smell in your nostrils you just cant get away from in the morgue , "ADDICTION ", title track "WARRIORS" and you cant beat the message it is so fucking true , " CHANGE YOUR WAYS" one of the heaviest I have heard in a long time they push their instruments to their limits on this one , " NO REGRETS" I could just go on and on about the whole fucking album , but you NEED to go out and buy this one for your self it is a banquet of hardcore punk , and just a side note , I caught them in Las Vegas this past DECEMBER and standing in the crowd I almost lost my breath from the power eminating from the stage . www.myspace.com/agnosticfront |
| MID LIFE CHRYSLER From the opening song to the parting shot , these guys have a sound from the days long ago when punk was a trip to hollywod and a drunken brawl in the bathroom that smelled of vomit and stale piss , great chops and guitar licks , are what make this a steady and nostalgic album , the bands that are from this era have a distinct sound lots of distortion and power chords , mostly about the beach cities much like the surf punks of the 80s , check these guys out and if you have the chance , go to a MLC show and get lost in the pit , fun and hoppy ,funny and motivating songs about surfing and the beach and BEER, hailing from the OC I am sure their music will not be found on the infamous show but you will have a great time at the show with these guys at the helm find them at www.myspace.com/wwwmyspacecommidlifechrysler |
| INCITING RIOTS- CRUCIFIED FOR OUR BELIEFS From the San Diego hardcore scene IR has been around for quite some time doling out hardcore from the pits of hell something you cant quite put your finger on but these guys have exactly what it takes to make you move your ass and pit like your life depends on it fast and speedy are just what they specialize in choppy licks and catchy hooks , a good blend of hardcore and gritty punk something that lacks in the scene of today , they bring to the line and make you take notice , I like it and it made me laugh a few times track 8 "NASTY COUGH" very funny but true something that has happened to most all of us at one time or another , its just the lifestyle of punk that we all submerse ourselves in , thats what I will say its the sound track for a punk rock life I have seen them live and they put on a powerful show you wont be disappointed go check them out if you get the chance . check them out at www.myspace.com/incitingriots |
| THE LUGERS- 20 SHOTS FIRED Heavy and in your face , reminds me of newer EXPLOITED, they have this speed that is rivaled only by their ability to hold the crowd in a trance blinding , bleeding speed crisp and even sound , these guys have a depth that goes far beyond the boundries of the common punk of the streets today , with a bass sound that is as deep and thundering as a 5ton bomb , the drummer is a crazed wild man faster and faster with every song , you think it cant get any faster , but it does and suprisingly enough it is consistant and full of sharp turns slow and grinding to breakneck speed vocals are one of my favorite aspects of any band , and MATCH has a voice captured from the devil himself , this is one band you must see live to appreciate the full bodied goodness its like a good beer foam and all . catch these guys at www.myspace.com/lugershc |
